North Berwick Swimming Club

Rules of Swimming Club

We want all members to enjoy the activities of the Club. Misbehaviour spoils the pleasure of others and can present a risk to safety. The following procedures have been introduced to meet those aims.

NBSC is not affiliated to the ASA, although we do adopt their protocol and rules. Our main aim is to teach swimming in the correct way while having fun.

  • All swimmers must report to desk, to say they are present.
  • Swimmers must attend on time.
  • All clothing must be in a locker, not a cubicle.
  • No swimmer should be in front of barrier until called.
  • No child will enter the water (this includes legs), until teacher is present on poolside.
